Finance & Insurance Options

At Greenwoods Dental & Surgical Centre, we never want cost to stand between you and a healthy smile. Below you’ll find a clear overview of the public programs, private‑sector solutions, and direct‑billing options we accept. If you still have questions, our treatment‑co‑ordination team is only a call or message away.

Direct Billing to Most Private Insurance Plans

We work with virtually every major Canadian dental insurer—including Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Blue Cross, Pacific Blue Cross, Desjardins, Empire Life, and more. Bring your policy details to your appointment and we’ll submit the claim electronically on your behalf. When your plan includes “assignment of benefits,” you only pay the patient portion that isn’t covered.

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

The federal CDCP began rolling out in 2024 to help Canadian residents with net family incomes below $90,000 access routine dental care. Coverage levels are income‑based, and some treatments may require pre‑approval. Greenwoods is an enrolled provider; simply bring your CDCP card or eligibility letter and we’ll handle the paperwork.

iFinance Canada – Medicard & Dentalcard Payment Plans

Need to spread treatment costs over time? Through iFinance Canada (Medicard / Dentalcard) you can finance up to $40,000 with terms from 12 to 84 months, competitive interest rates, no down payment, and no penalty for early payoff. Approval is typically same‑day and funds go directly to our clinic so your procedure can start right away.

Indigenous & Government‑Funded Programs

Jordan’s Principle

For First Nations children (aged 0‑18), Jordan’s Principle ensures equal access to health services—including dental—regardless of jurisdiction. We submit all required documentation on your family’s behalf to speed up approvals.

Non‑Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)

Outside of British Columbia, NIHB covers eligible dental services for registered First Nations and Inuit clients. We are a registered NIHB provider and bill the program directly.

First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) – British Columbia

In B.C., dental benefits that used to flow through NIHB are now administered by the FNHA Health Benefits Program, delivered in partnership with Pacific Blue Cross. Greenwoods accepts FNHA coverage and can request prior authorizations electronically.

Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) Health Benefits

MNBC offers extended health programs—such as the Métis Elders & Senior Assistance Program—that can assist with dental costs not paid by provincial MSP. Provide your MNBC benefits confirmation and we’ll coordinate payment.

How We Make Financing Simple

  • Pre‑treatment Estimates – Before any major procedure, we submit predeterminations so you know exactly what each plan or lender will cover.
  • On‑site Paperwork – Our finance coordinators fill out and upload all forms for CDCP, NIHB/FNHA, Jordan’s Principle, MNBC, and private insurers.
  • Multiple Payment Choices – Combine insurance, iFinance, or personal payment methods to create a plan that fits your budget.
