Dr George Loewen

Dr. George Loewen is a graduate of University of Manitoba with dual degrees, DMD and BSc (dentistry), and a recipient of the Dean’s Honour list award. He has published in peer review journals and focused his research on craniofacial growth of the jaw. He has previously worked on Vancouver island- Duncan, BC and decided to move back to family in Manitoba.

Prior to a career in dentistry Dr. Loewen was a public servant on the ambulance as a firefighter paramedic for the city of Winnipeg for two years and worked at a busy inner city station on Sargent and Burnell ave. He currently maintains his license and an active member in the Paramedic Association of Manitoba. He holds his basic CPR in addition to advanced level of cardiac resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Dr. Loewen started his dental training as an honour’s graduate at Kelvin High School. He was then awarded a scholarship to the University of Winnipeg. Where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with highest distinction.Dr. Loewen passion in dentistry resides in surgical procedures (including fully impacted wisdom teeth) and sedation for those with dental anxiety. Dr. Loewen is certified in administration of Nitrous oxide gas (laughing gas). In his free time he enjoys time with family, including his rescue dog (Chalby), physical conditioning and automobile restorations.
